MORE ABOUT BRAND

AlataGold, Timeless beauty that transcends generations! Many years ago, West African women traders created Alata samina, now well known as the “African Black Soap” for their personal use and subsequently for commercial purposes. They used their creative energy and ingenuity to make this soap from local ingredients such as palm kernel oil, potash derived from plantain skins and or cocoa pods. Like oral tradition, making the African Black Soap has passed on from our grandmothers and mothers to us.
